About the Finance Desk

Funding your founder education

The Founders Finance Desk (FFD) is Ireu's in-house student finance facilitation service. We work with a panel of banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions to help Ireu students access education loans, personal loans, and alternative financing options to fund their 15-month Startup Launchpad journey.

The FFD team also provides personal finance counselling — helping students restructure their finances, plan the transition from employment to full-time entrepreneurship, and build a runway that lets them focus entirely on building their company during the program.

Think of the FFD as your financial co-founder for the Ireu journey — handling the money stress so you can focus on the startup.

How It Works

Five steps from application to admission

01

Apply to Ireu

Submit your Ireu Startup Launchpad application. Once you receive a conditional offer, the FFD process begins.

02

FFD Consultation

A 45-minute call with an FFD advisor who reviews your financial situation and recommends the most suitable financing options from our panel.

03

Application Support

The FFD team prepares your loan documentation, liaises with the bank or NBFC, and tracks your application to approval — handling the paperwork for you.

04

Loan Disbursement

On approval, the loan is disbursed directly to Ireu. You begin the program. Repayment starts only after your moratorium period ends.

05

Launch & Repay

After the program and moratorium, you repay from your company's revenues or employment income. Your IISc certification, IIT Incubation, and EMBA make the math work.

Financing Options

Multiple paths to fund your Launchpad

Option 01

Education Loan

Traditional education loans from Ireu's banking partners — structured for professional courses, with the Ireu Startup Launchpad listed as an eligible program. Moratorium during the program, repayment after.

From 9.5% p.a.
Option 02

Personal Loan

For working professionals with a salary history, a personal loan can be faster and lower on documentation than an education loan. The FFD team identifies the best option for your profile and employment status.

Fastest Processing
Option 03

NBFC / Alternative Lenders

For students without a salary history or traditional credit profile, Ireu's NBFC partners offer alternative financing with flexible eligibility criteria — specifically designed for first-time founders and fresh graduates.

Flexible Eligibility
Option 04

Ireu Instalment Plan

Ireu's own structured instalment plan — pay the program fee in 4 to 6 tranches over the duration of the program, without third-party loan involvement. Subject to approval and a small processing fee.

No Bank Required
Option 05

Government Scholarship Advisory

FFD advisors identify applicable central and state government scholarships, skill development schemes, and startup development grants that can offset the Launchpad fee for eligible applicants.

Non-Dilutive
Option 06

Employer / Corporate Sponsorship

For professionals whose employer has an L&D budget, FFD advisors provide corporate sponsorship letters, ROI calculations, and documentation to support internal approval of Ireu as a sponsored development program.
